This year I'm holding myself to four quiet ambitions. Each is a little inconvenient, which is part of why I picked them.
Earning the A motorcycle licence
Working through Sweden's full A licence. It's a deliberately demanding process theory, risk training on a closed course, risk training on the road, and the final practical exam spread across months and weather windows. I'm taking it one stage at a time and trying to enjoy the parts where I'm clearly a beginner.
Launching apps through my own company
I've registered a company in Sweden and am using it as the vehicle for shipping a small portfolio of apps. Half the work is design and code; the other half is learning how things actually function here F-skatt, VAT, bookkeeping, contracts, and the boring details that separate a hobby from a business.
Building real focus
I read a lot about focus and attention, but reading isn't the same as practising. I'm experimenting with a daily routine fewer inputs, longer blocks of single tasking, a clearer line between work and rest until something sticks rather than just sounds good on paper.
Feeling at home in myself
I have an addictive personality, and I've spent a long time noticing how it shapes my days. This year is less about willpower and more about designing a life where the defaults are kind: regular sleep, movement, time outside, honest relationships, and fewer of the small escapes that quietly add up.
In the background
